Ingredients:
Brownies:
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Cream Cheese Filling:
- 4-6 oz cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 egg
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- ¼ tsp vanilla
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees°. Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- Mix together ingredients for cream cheese filling, set aside.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the oil, sugar, and vanilla. Beat in eggs.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt; gradually stir into the egg mixture until well blended.
- Pour half the brownie mixture into pan. Spoon cream cheese filling over brownie mixture. Top with remaining brownie mixture. Swirl with knife.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the brownie begins to pull away from edges of pan. Let cool on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
This sounds really yummy! When you say spoon filling over mix, do you mean you spoon the cream cheese filling over the brownie mix, then put the other half of the brownie mix on?
Yes!! 🙂
